🧼 CARE GUIDE 🚿
Fursuits are hand-made items tailored to fit you and your character. In order to ensure long wearability, it is important to know how to take care of it. Permanent damage can be done to your items if not cared for appropriately. This guide will aid you in proper fursuit and fursuit accessory cleaning and care.

✅Items Worth Investing In:
-A mini fan to be placed in the head for drying after use.
-A bottle of rubbing alcohol (to mix in a 50/50 ratio with water. 100% alcohol is too strong), or any other disinfectant to use on the suit immediately after use.
-Under Armor Heatgear long sleeves shirt and leggings or lycra clothing to wear under your fursuit during performance. This will help keep you cool during wear.
-Under Armor or a lycra balaclava to wear on your head during performance.
-If you're a woman, an Under Armor or similar sports bra is worth the investment.
-Folex for spot cleaning along the way.
-A plastic box container with a cover for you to store away some pieces like the feetpaws, tail, hands and/or head.
-A transportation bag to store your bodysuit away in a closet so it stays protected.
-A Bissell Machine to clean HEAD and FEETPAWS (if you have questions about this cleaning method please contact us for more information).❌DO NOT:
❌DO NOT wash your items with hot water. This may cause shrinkage.
❌DO NOT use a washing machine for your head. This can damage the head.
❌DO NOT EVER put items into a clothes dryer with heat. The furs will melt; this is irreversible.
❌DO NOT store the items wet or damp. This can cause molding to occur.
❌DO NOT store the items in direct sunlight. The colors of the fur will fade over time.
❌DO NOT attempt to wash your items with bleach or other harsh substances.
❌DO NOT use hair dryers to dry your items. The result will be the same as if you put the items in a dryer.
❌DO NOT submerge the head in water! Some elements on the head are not waterproof.✅PLEASE DO:
✅DO brush your items with a slicker brush. They’re usually included with your purchase, in case your fursuit doesn’t come with one, you can buy it at any pet store or convenience store.
✅DO get UnderArmor clothing to wear underneath the armsleeves.
✅DO get a balaclava to help keep the inside of a head clean. They’re usually included with your purchase, for hygiene purposes we recommend to get multiple for cons, so you don’t keep using the same one all the days. REMEMBER TO WASH THEM REGULARLY.
✅DO spray the inside of your head and feet with a 50/50 solution of water and rubbing alcohol to help disinfect the inside after each use. If you don’t want to make the solution from zero, you can get a LYSOL brand disinfectant, always remembering to spray it at a 30-40 cm distance.🌀During Wear:
We recommend wearing Under Armor or a Lycra suit underneath during performance to keep you cool and comfortable. The lycra material helps to wick away sweat from your body, but also helps not to soak so much of it into the fur of your bodysuit. Wearing the balaclava will help keep the sweat out of your eyes during performance, as well as keep your hair contained and out of your face if it is long.🏩At-Con Care:During cons, you may leave your padding and stuffing in your suit when hung up. After each wear, brush your suit with a slicker brush and lightly spray the inside and outside of each part with a disinfectant spray. Crotch and armpit areas need thorough brushing. If possible, place your head over top of a fan to dry. When you brush your suit, brush the short fur areas too!
Head: Take off your head and spray the inside with the 50/50 alcohol + water spray solution, (or a similar disinfectant) then rest it on the small fan to dry. If you don’t have a fan, rest the head upside down, and open up the neck flaps so that the bottom opening is pointed up and outward. You can use a larger table top fan to blow directly toward the neck opening of the head. Let your head completely dry before performing in it again or storing it. Storing it while still moist can result in mold growth and can completely destroy your head.
🟣Body: Turn your bodysuit inside out and spray it with disinfectant spray. Then hang it (still inside out) and let it completely dry before performing in it again.
🟣Hand Paws: Spray the insides with the disinfectant of your choice, and let them completely dry before performing again. If you are done performing in them, follow the same cleaning instructions as stated in the CLEANING AT HOME section.
🟣Feet Paws: Spray the insides with the disinfectant of your choice, and let them completely dry before performing again and don't forget to brush them. If you are done performing in them, follow the same cleaning instructions as stated in the CLEANING AT HOME section.🏠Cleaning AT HOME:The suit or accessories should not require extensive cleaning if it is used lightly or occasionally. Disinfectant spray used regularly takes care of any unpleasant odors. You will sweat while wearing certain items. So it is important to eliminate any growth of bacteria to avoid an odor. Washing is needed after heavy use of the suit. The following will help you clean your suit or items properly:🟣-For Bodysuits, handpaws ,arm sleeves , tail and padding:
For these ítems, you may place the suit in a washing machine. The machine should be set on “Delicates'' and should be washed with cold water only. We recommend using a gentle detergent so the fibers on the suit do not get damaged after multiple washes.
After it has been washed, make sure a lot of the moisture has been spun out and then hang up the suit to dry in an open, well ventilated area. Brush the suit while it is hanging up. For digitigrade padding, that can also be washed in the washer with the same settings.
To machine wash small parts such as PAWS or SMALL/MEDIUM SIZE TAILS , place them in a laundry bag or pillow case please.🟣For Head and feetpaws :
Spot clean with folex or a hand-held carpet cleaner. Make sure to squeeze any water out of the foam and take care around the eyes of your head. Only the neck may be fully submerged in soapy water and hand washed. Make sure no electronics are in the way to get wet in case your head has any.
For a DEEP CLEANING (the best way of cleaning in our opinion) please use a Bissell Machine, as stated before, if you have any questions about this method we can send you Youtube links for your to understand how to follow this cleaning process.
In case your head is KEMONO STYLE, the dome eyes should be cleaned with a paper towel and glass cleaner such as Windex.
PLEASE DO NOT submerge the head completely into the water and avoid the face area (as it’s made out of foam) be damp.
Traveling with your Fursuit:
Always use the largest possible suit-case that can be checked in. Check with your airline for their limits.
We recommend hard-shelled suitcases or pelican cases. If using a soft-shelled case, put your suit parts inside plastic bags in case of water leakage. You may vacuum pack all parts of your suit except the head for a maximum recommended time of 24 hours.
Always carry your head onto the plane. It will be safest under your seat or in your lap after take-off.IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS ABOUT THE CARE AND CLEANING OF YOUR FURSUITS, YOU CAN ALWAYS ASK US!
